"0710 JOURNEYS"
EXHIBITION OF THE DYNAMIC DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY OF WAYNE CAMPBELL
P21 Gallery Presents 0710 JOURNEYS: A Powerful Exhibition Exploring Protest & Humanity Through the Lens oft he Camera
P21 Gallery is pleased to present 0710 JOURNEYS, a powerful series of images by visual activist Wayne Campbell, documenting the landscape of protest through highlighting the protests for Gaza on British streets and the everyday landscape of the occupied West Bank.
July 9th – September 5th 2025, this immersive show tells the raw emotion, defiance, and unity of protest in Campbell's strong vision. The show, curated in collaboration with A Celebration of Demonstration and P21 Gallery, brings centre stage the voices of the masses while highlighting how visual activism is key to creating the narrative.
A Visual Chronicle of Resistance & Solidarity
Campbell’s arresting images chronicle the Palestinian solidarity protests that swept across London from November 2023, alongside intimate portraits of life in the West Bank. His work transcends mere documentation, offering a deeply human perspective on struggle, hope, and the unifying force of shared experiences.
"Photography is always a narrative medium, but in times of polarisation, it can be a bridge," Campbell insists. "Media becomes more polarised, and politics more divisive—art can bring us back towards empathy, towards humanity."
A Historic Moment for P21 Gallery
Wayne Campbell is the first Black male to be featured at P21 Gallery, a space traditionally dedicated to Middle Eastern art. This work is a dedication to the power of cultural exchange, particularly in a time when tensions between countries risk tearing society asunder.
Engagement Beyond the Lens
This amazing exhibition extends beyond photography, there will be artist talks, workshops, and collaborations with activists and organisations co-aligned with its themes. There will be powerful images, evocative soundscapes, and words—all coming together in an homage to the resilience of the human spirit.
