SPEAKERS:

Professor Philip Marfleet  | Speaker,
Philip Marfleet is an emeritus Professor in Social sciences at the University of East London. He has worked in the field of Development Studies, Migration Studies and Middle East Studies. He has lectured at Universities in The Uk and the Middle East.
Philip is the author of "Refugees in a Global Era: (2006), "Egypt, the Moment of Change" (2009), "Egypt: Contested Revolution" (2016) and "Palestine, Imperialism and the Struggle for Freedom" (2025) He has also co-authored and contributed to many other books, and has supported the Movement for Palestinian Freedom and Self-Determination for many years.

Luca Salice | Moderator
Luca Salice is a translator and visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster. He has for many years been an activist with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. He is currently Chair of Westminster Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

Helena Aksentijevic | Filmmaker
Helena Aksentijević is a filmmaker and photographer. “Palestinian Resistance, 1917-2026"  is one of a series of documentary films about people who support the Palestinian people’s right to a homeland, the right to return to their ancestral lands and live lives free from Occupation, oppression, apartheid and genocide.
